The State Opera of South Australia packs a punch in creating ground-breaking productions utilising some of the highest quality singers, musicians and creatives in Australia. Breathe Marketing was engaged to conduct an audit of their marketing activities and provide recommendations on how their marketing activities could be improved. This work created a marketing blueprint which will serve the State Opera of South Australia well into the future. Breathe Marketing was then retained to immediately implement two of the recommendations: the redevelopment of their website and to conduct some market research.

Breathe Marketing wrote all the wording for the new website and provided project management services, working closely with the website developers, Avenue De Saxe. The transformation from old to new was incredible, not only in a visual sense but in providing a lot more information for opera fans, and potential new opera fans. Plus it was all completed in 5 weeks! The website will serve State Opera of South Australia incredibly well in the future, as more functionality can easily be added to ‘future-proof’ this important element of their marketing.

The purpose of the market research was to better understand current audiences and to work out how they can tap into new and wider audiences. Through working with Square Holes, the market research has delivered an incredible amount of knowledge, data and recommendations, which the State Opera of South Australia can use to guide their future strategic direction.
